53. This Regulation comes into force on 1 October 2015 and revokes the former Regulation respecting insurance contributions (chapter A-25, r. 3.1). However, the Regulation respecting insurance contributions, as it reads on 30 September 2015, continues to apply

(1)  to the insurance contribution payable to retain the right to drive a road vehicle the payment of which is due before 1 January 2016;

(2)  to the insurance contribution payable upon registration of a road vehicle and for the right to operate the vehicle, if that registration and that right are obtained before 1 January 2016;

(3)  to the insurance contribution payable by the holder of a driver’s licence the payment of which is due before 1 January 2016;

(4)  to the insurance contribution payable to obtain a licence that takes effect before 1 January 2016.
